Eligibility Criteria for AP SET 2024
In order to be eligible for AP SET 2024, candidates must fulfill several requirements:
- Applicants must receive at least 55% of the possible points (rounded to the nearest whole number) in their Master’s degree or an equivalent test from UGC-accredited universities or institutions. In their Master’s degree or equivalent test, candidates from reserved categories (BC, SC, ST, Transgender, PwD) must receive at least 50% of the possible points (rounded to the nearest whole number).
- Applicants may apply if they have taken their master’s degree final year exam and are awaiting results, or if their qualifying exams have been postponed. They will, however, be admitted provisionally and will have a deadline to submit their mark sheet; if they don’t, they will be eliminated.
- Regardless of the day the results are announced, candidates with a PhD who finished their master’s degree by September 1991 are eligible for a 5% relaxation in their total score.
- The cost, age, and qualifying criterion relaxations offered to SC/ST/PwD categories will also apply to transgender candidates.
- Candidates may only speak on the topic of their master’s degrees. Nonetheless, students may appear in a similar subject if their post-graduation subject is not included in the AP SET subjects.
