Tesla Roadster: Tesla aims to begin deliveries of its new Roadster sports car in 2025, according to CEO Elon Musk. This futuristic EV promises lightning-fast acceleration and cutting-edge performance.
In a recent post on social media, Musk stated production of the Roadster will start by the end of 2024. This two-seater convertible EV initially debuted as a concept back in 2017. At that time, Tesla touted it could rocket from 0-60 mph in just 1.9 seconds.
However, Musk now claims the production version will shatter that estimate. He says this Roadster will blast to 60 mph in under 1 second. If true, this would make it the quickest production car in the world. The current record holder is the Rimac Nevera, hitting 60 mph in 1.81 seconds.

Tesla Roadster Utilizes SpaceX Technology
Musk previously revealed plans to offer a SpaceX package on the Roadster. This includes small rocket thrusters to dramatically improve acceleration and handling. The thrusters may even allow the Roadster to fly for short periods.
When first shown in 2017, Tesla announced the Roadster would have a 200 kWh battery pack. This enables an impressive 620-mile driving range per charge. The three-motor AWD powertrain also delivers neck-snapping acceleration. Tesla stated the Roadster could hit 100 mph in 4.2 seconds and run a quarter-mile in just 8.8 seconds.
