Nitish Kumar Reddy is a young cricket player from India. He was born on May 26, 2003, in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. He plays for a team called Andhra in India, and also for a team called Sunrisers Hyderabad in a big cricket league called the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Nitish started playing cricket when he was very young, just 5 years old. He used to play with a toy bat made of plastic. He liked watching older players play cricket at a place called Hindustan Zinc Grounds. His dad, Mutyala Reddy, helped him a lot. His dad even quit his job to help Nitish play cricket better.
Nitish was really good at cricket, and a former Indian cricket player MSK Prasad noticed him when he was playing matches for kids younger than him. Then, he got a chance to train at a special academy for cricket in Kadapa.

Early Cricket Journey
Nitish’s cricket journey began when he was just 5 years old, playing with a plastic bat. He used to watch older players at the Hindustan Zinc grounds and developed a passion for the game.
His father, Mutyala Reddy, supported his dream by quitting his job to help Nitish pursue cricket. He has also faced questions from relatives, his father believed in him and dedicated himself to Nitish’s cricket career.
Limelight on Talent
Nitish’s talent caught the eye of ex-Indian cricketer and selector MSK Prasad during Under-12 and Under-14 matches. He was selected to train at the ACA academy in Kadapa under coaches Madhusudhana Reddy and Srinivasa Rao.
Record-break
In the 2017-18 Vijay Merchant Trophy, Nitish had an outstanding season. He scored 441 runs against Nagaland. In the tournament, he scored a total of 1237 runs with an incredible average of 176.41.
He also took 26 wickets. This outstanding performance in the BCCI ‘B est Cricketer in the Under-16’ Jagmohan Dalmiya award for the 2017–2018 season, makes him the first player from the Andhra Cricket Association to receive this prestigious award.
