- Secondary with minimum 45% marks and passout or appears in final year of diploma in elementary education, according to NCTE
- Senior secondary with minimum 50% marks and pass out or appears in the final year of diploma 2 years in special education
Candidates who have a graduation degree with a minimum of 50 % marks and a B.Ed are eligible for government teachers for classes I-V, Primary level teachers. Such candidates must go through the 6-month bridge course in elementary education that is recognized by NCTE within 2 years of their appointment as primary teachers.
Paper II ( Class VI to VIII)
- Graduation and passout or appear in the final year of your diploma in elementary education
- Graduation with minimum 50% marks and passout or appears in B.Ed ( Bachelor of Education)
- Graduation with minimum 45% marks and passout or appears in B.Ed, according to recognition norms and procedure
- Senior secondary with minimum 50% marks and passout and appears in final year of B.Sc.Ed/B.A or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed
- Senior secondary with minimum 50% marks and passout and appears in final year of B.El.Ed (Bachelor in elementary education )
- Graduation with a minimum of 50% and passout or appear in B.Ed ( special education)
- The candidates who are qualified in the B.Ed program recognized by NCTE are eligible to apply for the PSTET exam
