TNMAWS exam pattern 2024

Paper 1
This paper focuses on subjects or courses in which candidates get diplomas or degrees. Mechanical, civil, and electrical engineering are the main courses offered, as are town planning and architecture. Every candidate is asked questions in Paper 1, according to their related course to the post for which they apply.
Duration- 3 hours
Maximum marks- 300
Minimum qualifying marks in Paper 1 vary according to the category of candidates ( 204 for others and 153 for reserved ones)
Paper 2
Objectives-type questions are asked in this paper. This paper has 2 parts.
Part A
Part A consists of 100 questions with 150 marks total. This part checks the knowledge of candidates in the Tamil language. Candidates should get a minimum of 60 % marks to be evaluated for both Paper 1 and 2
Part B
This part consists of 75 general knowledge questions linked to the diploma or degree grade of the applied post. Moreover, 25 questions are asked from mental ability and apttitude at SSC level. There are a total of 100 questions asked in Part B, which carry 150 marks
