The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has changed the date for the Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2024. The exam is going to be held on May 26, but now it’s on June 16. They changed it because of the upcoming general elections, which will be held from April 19 to June 1.
The exam will be held in two parts General Studies and Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). The General Studies part will be in the morning from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and the CSAT will be in the afternoon from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
The registration last date for the exam was extended to March 6, and candidates could make corrections until March 13. The admit cards for the exam will be available at least 10 days before the exam, and now all the candidates can download them from the official website using their registration number and roll number or date of birth. In this notification there are a total of 1,056 vacancies for the Civil Services Exam and 150 for the Indian Forest Service.
The exam will be held in three stages prelims, mains, and personality test. The prelims have objective-type questions, and those who score above the cut-off marks can register for the mains exam. All the Candidates must be at least 21 years old but not older than 32 years as of August 1, 2024, to be eligible for the exam. That means they must have been born between August 2, 1992, and August 1, 2003.

The reason for postponing the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024 is because of the 18th Lok Sabha elections announced by the Election Commission. The Lok Sabha elections will be held from April 19 to June 1, 2024. Due to this the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) decided to reschedule the UPSC CSE prelims exam.
