Recently, congress revealed the initial list of 39 party candidates across 8 states and 1 union territory for upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This announcement followed the central election committee session led by Party president Mallikarjun Kharge, who finalized the candidates for upcoming elections.
The former congress president, Rahul Gandhi, will be vying for a Wayanad seat in Kerala, a constituency where he represents. The congress general secretary, K C Venugopal, is set to take part in the contests from Shashi Tharoor and Alappuzha and seek re-election. Moreover, the congress party also nominates Bhupesh Baghel, former CM of Chattisgarh, for the Rajnandgaon seat and Tamardwaj Sahi and Mahasamund.
Last week, BJP disclosed the first list of Congress 195 candidates across 16 states and 2 union territories for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This announcement of congress candidates contesting for upcoming elections is followed by a party of the Central election committee.
