Hero MotoCorp has revived the Vida V1 Plus Electric Scooter in India at an attractive price of Rs 1.15 lakhs. This price includes the FAME II subsidy and a portable charger.

The Vida V1 Plus was initially launched along with the V1 Pro but was later discontinued. Now, Hero has brought it back to expand the Vida EV portfolio for Indian customers looking for affordable electric two-wheelers.

Vida V1 Plus Specs and Features

The Vida V1 Plus sits below the V1 Pro in Hero’s electric scooter range. Both models share a similar design, features and chassis but have different battery packs leading to slightly varying ranges.

The Vida V1 Plus and V1 Pro use the same 3.9kW electric motor with a max output of 6kW. However, the V1 Pro gets a larger 3.94kWh battery pack delivering a range of 110km on one full charge.

The Vida V1 Plus comes equipped with a smaller 3.44kWh battery pack offering a max range of 100km. It also accelerates slightly slower than the V1 Pro, taking 3.4 seconds to reach 0-40km/h compared to 3.2 seconds.

Vida V1 Plus Competitors

At its attractive price point, the Hero Vida V1 Plus electric scooter competes with models like:

  • Bajaj Chetak Urbane
  • Ather 450S
  • Ola S1 Air

It offers an affordable EV option compared to the premium V1 Pro priced at Rs 1.45 lakhs.

Hero Unveils Vida Electric Dirt Bike

Hero MotoCorp displayed an early prototype of the Vida Electric Dirt Bike at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo. The dirt bike styling is evident with its flat seat, tall front fender, spoked wheels, wide handlebars and a small rear section. It also gets a prominent bash plate and Vida badging on the sides.

Not many details regarding the electric dirt bike’s specifications have been revealed yet. But it represents Hero MotoCorp’s intent to electrify its entire model range in the near future.

The Vida V1 Plus reintroduction and the electric dirt bike concept showcase Hero’s accelerated focus on electric mobility in India. We can expect more new EV models across segments from the two-wheeler giant going forward.
