Mukhtar Ansari, five-time MLA of Uttar Pradesh, died on Thursday evening because of cardiac arrest. After this, the team starts an investigation of his death. The gangster politician who was lodged in Banda district jail was sent to Rani Durgavati Medical College because of his bad health after he end his Ramzan fast.

Cause of Ansari’s death

 Doctors was first called to Jail to treat Ansari, but he was sent to hospital after reports suspects that he had cardiac arrest. He was bring to hospital at 8:25 pm in bad health state. A team of 9 doctors treating him, but he died. According to reports, it is determined that he was died on 28 March because of heart attack.

Declaration of Mukhtar’s Son on his death

Meanwhile, an investigation to know the cause of the death of Mukhtar Ansari was started, and his family alleged foul play. While speaking to reporters, Ansari’s son, Umar Ansari, said in the media that his father was given poison through food in Jail.

Some days earlier, Ansari told the Barabanki court also that he was served food with poison in Jail. On 26 March, Ansari was hospitalized for 14 hours after his abdominal pain started. He was diagnosed with an Urinary tract infection and immediately admitted to the ICU of the hospital, according to sources. The doctors suggest him for surgery.

The serious allegations made by Ansari’s family demand the high level investigation on Mukhtar Ansari death and revel facts of his death to light.

Politics paid condolences to Ansari’s family.

The Samajwadi party and opposition leaders paid condolences to Ansari’s family. The leaders of his political party said, ” Sad demise of MLA shri Mukhtar Ansari, May his soul rest in peace”. May his family get the strength to come out of this sorrow. Humble tribute! BSP Supremo Mayawati wrote in a post that ” it is natural for his family to be sad in such a situation”.

Mukhtar Ansari was a former five-time MLA and had been behind bars in UP and Punjab since 2005. There are more than 60 criminal cases pending against him. He spent two years in Punjab Jail and was sent to Banda Jail in 2021. He was imprisoned in eight cases from 2022 by different courts of UP and was lodged in Banda Jail. His name was listed in 66 gangsters issued by Uttar Pradesh police.
